Holiday Bouquets, Building Barns & Gluten Free Options

Hello Friends,

I hope that everyone is having a great week. We had a crazy storm blow through the farm today.  Thankfully there was no damage.  I hope that all of you are ok too!

We wanted to let you know that our Farm Store at 75 Willow Avenue in Peapack will be open tomorrow from 2:30 to 5:30.  We are creating special bouquets for the Holiday weekend.  Perhaps you'd like one for yourself, or to bring to a picnic.  So many flowers are starting to bloom; the gardens are filled with such beauty.  Poppies, Peonies, Anemones, Snapdragons and Baptisia are a few that are really gorgeous.  Here are a few photos of what you can expect.  Our small posy bouquets are $10, and our large bouquets are $25.  

We will also have eggs, radishes, turnips and lettuces for your holiday breakfasts and salads.  Don't forget our spice blends, and Syracuse Salt Company blends like our fan favorite lemon rose salt, or espresso salt (which is yummy on vanilla ice cream).  We will also have samples of our Peace Tea and Rosemary Thyme Shortbread, so please stop by and say hello to usher in the unofficial start of Summer.

Our sheep barn construction project is making great progress.  We are expecting the roof to be installed next week!  One thing we learned is that pressure treated lumber is a big no-no around livestock due to the fact that it contains arsenic.  So, in Regenerative Maranatha Farm fashion, we will be using Black Locust Logs for the posts to hold up the awning.  The Black Locust tree stand is just behind our Farm Store, and has just been cleared to convert to Silvopasture for the sheep.

We wanted to let everyone know that we've been working hard to provide more Gluten Free muffin options.  We now have gluten free options of our Blueberry Lemon and Banana Chocolate Chunk muffins in addition to the Power Brekkies and Cranberry Oatmeal.  I have to say, our gluten free flour blend is so good, it's really hard to tell the difference.  Perhaps try one of each to see if you agree.
