Winter Update

Hello Dear Friends,

I hope that this note finds you well.  Although it is still very much Winter outside, we have been very busy with planning work for an exciting growing season ahead here on the farm.

We have started seeding in our newly completed greenhouse, and have laid out our gardens, including what we will be growing in our two new spaces: Giving Garden South, and the High Tunnel that was built last fall. High tunnels are temporary structures that allow you to start the growing season earlier, and extend it later in the year, providing more flexibility. In Giving Garden South we will have raised beds and in-ground beds that will allow us to grow vegetables, herbs, as well as edible and cutting flowers. There is even space to plant a good number of fig trees.

Since this is our first year scaling up production, it will be a year of learning. As such, we would like to offer you two new options, in addition to our popular egg subscription to share in the bounty of the farm. Please note that a very limited number of shares are available for purchase now.

July Flower Subscription
Please consider purchasing a 5 week Flower Bouquet subscription for the month of July. In alignment with our regenerative model to minimize waste, we ask customers to supply two quart sized vases or containers that we will fill with a beautiful farm fresh bouquet to rotate on a weekly basis. The value of each bouquet is $25 ($125 total), and will include seasonal favorites of whatever is at peak bloom, including some really unique varieties.

16 week CSA share
Also for your consideration, we are offering a CSA share (What is a CSA?) that will be enough for 2-3 people weekly including regeneratively grown vegetables, herbs and fruit. Each weekly share is valued at $30 ($480 total), and will include 6-8 items from the gardens. The share is expected to run from the second week of June until the latter part of September. Please note that it is possible to skip a week if you are on vacation. We kindly ask that you let us know at least a week ahead. We can also donate your share to a local food bank when you are away if you prefer.

As many of you know, we are famous for selling out of our pastured eggs on a weekly basis. We are happy to be bringing back our weekly egg subscriptions for both chicken and duck eggs so that you can be sure not to miss out. We will turn on the subscription tab as soon as our weekly egg counts stabilize in the beginning of April.

Normal weekly pickups for all options above, and standard online orders will remain on Wednesdays from 2:30-5:30pm at our farm store; 75 Willow Avenue in Peapack. We also now offer local delivery within 15 miles of the farm for a $10 charge on Wednesdays as well.

We continue to offer our delicious baked goods, and are excited about offering hyper-seasonal items that include fruit and veggies from our gardens and orchard when they are at peak ripeness. Our farm store is expected to open on April 3rd. In the meantime, we can arrange for pick up or delivery at your convenience.

We are deeply grateful for your continued support, and are excited for all of the new things we have in store for you in the year ahead. Wishing you and your families blessings and a wonderful weekend.

Kindest regards,
Michele
