Happy Fourth of July

Hello Friends,

It has been another busy week on the farm.  We extended three job offers, and are excited to be welcoming our new Livestock Farm Hand, Farm Production Steward and Seasonal Farm Hand over the next ten days.  The painting is underway on the sheep barn, and the solar field/electric work begins next Monday.  The sheep arrive the first week of August!

We had a hugely successful Guest Vendor Day at the Summit Market last Sunday, and are so grateful to those who came by to say hello and wish us well.  We learned a lot as well, especially how early Farmers wake up to get to the market to setup before customers arrive. :>0

We also wanted to wish you and your families a very Happy Fourth of July.  Although these are uncertain and often chaotic times, we must hold steadfast to the fact that we are so blessed to call this Country home. I'd like to share this Independence Day prayer with you:

Dear Lord, stir our minds and stimulate our hearts with a high sense of patriotism on this Fourth of July. May all that this day symbolizes renew our faith in freedom, our devotion to democracy, and redouble our efforts to keep a government of the people, by the people, and for the people truly alive in our world. Please touch the hearts and minds of our leaders to do what is best for the Greater Good, and may they wholeheartedly pursue and foster equality and unity for all of the people in this country.

Grant that we may highly resolve on this great day to dedicate ourselves anew to the task of ushering in an era when good will shall live in the hearts of a free people, Justice shall be the light to guide their feet, and Peace shall be the goal of humankind: to the glory of Thy holy name, the good of our Nation, and of all mankind.

Amen.

May God bless you and your families on this day and always.

Sincerely,

Michele & the Maranatha Farm Team
